Today we've released Trosnoth version 1.2.2 which fixes the mouse drift which some users have been seeing.  See the download page to get this version.

Today we stumbled across a bug that can cause version 1.2.0 to hang for some players, therefore making the game unplayable.  The bug fix release 1.2.1, available from the Download page, should fix this issue.

Trosnoth 1.2 Released!

Trosnoth 1.2 is available today from the download page.  It includes the following new features:
  • Settings menu can now be accessed from in the game.
  • Themes have been added, with a Pirate theme as well as the default.
  • Alt+Tab in full-screen mode minimises game (except on OSX).
  • Physics change: players can walk along concave surfaces without leaving the ground.
  • Right-clicking in full-screen mode locks the crosshairs.
  • Display options for centring on player and to disable smooth panning.
  • Click to respawn.
  • Some UI changes.
  • Various bug fixes.

Come and Play 2: Piratenoth!

Please come and join us in this upcoming Internet Trosnoth game:
  • Make sure you have downloaded and installed the Trosnoth 1.1.1 release candidate 1 (download: Windows installer or source distribution).
  • The game will be played on Saturday 19 June 2010.
  • At 7:00pm AEST (09:00 UTC), we will open a game called "Trosnoth CaP foyer"
    • Please join this game to indicate that you wish to play in the Come and Play game.
    • This game will act as a foyer only, and will not actually be started.
  • At 7:10pm AEST (09:10 UTC), we will close the foyer game and open a game called "Trosnoth CaP".
    • This will be the actual Trosnoth game.
    • We will select the game size based on the number of people who enter the foyer game.
    • The game will be time-limited to 45 mins, or possibly less if we don't get many players.
    • At the end of the game we will ask who would be interested in playing another game.
    • Some of us may keep playing well into the night.
If you would like to play but can't see the game, try doing an IP connect to 60.241.41.80 on port 6789.

Come and Play a Huge Success

Thank-you to everyone who participated in today's Trosnoth Come and Play matches!  They were a huge success, and demonstrated that Trosnoth over the Internet works well even when there are more than just 2 developers playing.  For game statistics, see Come and Play 2010-03-06.

To celebrate the release of Trosnoth v1.1, we will be holding an Internet Trosnoth game:
  • Make sure you have downloaded and installed Trosnoth version 1.1.0.

New release: v1.1.0

Version 1.1.0 is now out on the Internet, complete with the ability to see other people's Internet games.  To host an Internet game you'll need to set up port forwarding of TCP and UDP port 6789 to your computer.
